The History of Malhotra Nursing & Maternity Home (P) Ltd. dates back to the pre-independence era when Rai Bahadur Dr. S.N. Malhotra was recognized by the British Empire and humanity. Dr. Malhotra retired as Principal Medical & Health Officer (Rajasthan). One of the first Indian Doctors to have a qualification of M.D. and M.S. from Lahore Medical College. He was then joined by his son and daughter-in-law,  Dr. R.M. Malhotra and Prabha Malhotra towards the dedicated efforts of mankind. Starting their efforts in 1957 from Bharatpur (Raj.), the family shifted to Agra (U.P.) in 1959, thereby establishing the first Private Nursing Home of the state. The Hospital catered to the need of patients of all kinds for 15 years. It was then in 1975 when the Hospital finally decided to move to specialized services and they opted one of the most neglected and the most important issues of life i.e. maternal and child care.
