She has received the best women award for medical curriculum in 2013 on the eve of women's day held in MahaKavi Bharathiyar Illam. Dr. Mahalakshmi has completed her fellowship in reproductive medicine and androgyny from Chettinad University. She is running an IVF super specialty unit under the banner of Abhijay reproductive care (Arc Research Center). She has given births to childless couples from many parts of the country (Singapore, UK, UAE etc). She is running a scientific, evidence-based research center catering all challenges in infertility treatments. Her vision is to make our country recognized globally for infertility treatments, promoting medical tourism and surrogacy in infertility.
